brief
Upon extensive research, Booklight was created as a design intervention for specific touchpoints of user behavior within the James B. Hunt Library at NC State University (NCSU). The application provides information on the technical services of the library as well as aids in reserving technology and group study rooms.
problem to solve:
While Hunt Library has many resources and spaces available for students, not everyone knows how to access them. This can prove to be a hindrance when attempting to complete work or just finding your way around. The NCSU library's website displays some functions of the library, but it is inconvenient and does not explain these functions well.
Through conducting student and staff interviews and observations, we found three main pain points: renting technology, reserving study rooms, and customer service.
